Nikki, Kaltag and Star are three sled dogs who appear in Balto. They are members of Steele's sled team, and each have their own very unique personality.
Biology
Nikki
Nikki has brown fur and a stout build. He has a large head in proportion to the rest of his body, which is emphasized by his tiny ears.
Nikki seems to be quite good friends with Kaltag, as they are usually seen together.
Kaltag
Kaltag is the tallest of the trio. He has brownish-orange fur with a creamy colored chest, mouth and face with a brown patch on his left eye. His ears have black tips.
Kaltag seems to be a good friend of Nikki, but is quite easily annoyed by Star. He talks really fast, and various times throughout the film, Star will interrupt him and Kaltag will hit Star on the hit.
Star
Star is very small and skinny, much smaller than the rest of the sled dogs in Balto. He has greyish colored fur with dark stripes down his back and flimsy ears.
Star is always getting himself yelled at or hit by Steele and Kaltag but saying stuff that annoys them. He is quite a brave character, and when Balto came to rescue the team, Star was the first one to argue against Steele and stick up for Balto.
