Animation Source

Animation Source is a network of websites about animated movies. It is best known for its charter website, Balto Source, which was opened by the webmaster steet in 2004. It is an online resource for fans of all kinds of animated movies, including The Lion King, Mulan, and All Dogs go to Heaven, but the most active part of it remains Balto-centered. Since it opened, it has become one of the most active Balto fan sites.

Famous Members

• Catwhohas14tails: Famous for her art skills, and a popular writer. She is, however, controversial for her habit of gleefully smearing the Balto series. She openly admits that she doesn't like Balto, particularly the sequels, and wants to see their popularity diminished, yet somehow she maintains a sizeable fan base.
• Dragon Tamer: Considered kind and exceptional by some, but egotistical and obnoxious by others. He considers it his responsibility to help and encourage other members to follow the rules. Known on the fanfiction section for his stories, particularly centering on Toby, a young dog of Nome who idolizes Balto.
• Jersey Captain: An expert on historical matters, particularly those pertaining to the original Balto story. Operates his own lesser-known website dedicated to the actual events of the 1925 Serum run. Moderator of the attached branch site Lady and the Tramp Source, currently looking to see an expansion of the site devoted to the movie The Secret of NIMH.
• Skullblaka Shur'tugal: A very active member of the site, particularly of its podcast, known as Sourcecast. Considered the most prolific writer on the site, with over 60 stories.
• Draco: The site Admin for Balto Source, she assists steet in day-to-day management of the site. She's also a moderator of other sections, and an artist in her own right with many admirers.

Sourcecast

Sourcecast is a podcast about all things pertaining to Animation Source and animation in general. It is coordinated by a group of mods and regular members, including Skullblaka Shur'tugal and Rusty the Fox. Sourcecast has been posted on YouTube.
