Aleu is the daughter of Balto and Jenna, and plays a starring role in Balto II: Wolf Quest. She is voiced by Lacey Chabert.

Biology
Physiology
Aleu has grayish-brown colored fur on the top part of her body, and on the underside, an even lighter gray tone. Aleu's back has a permanent ruffle of fur that sticks out, and on her face, a gray top-fur streak that extends from her eyes to her nose. Her irises are a pretty blue color against a cream-white background, and her ears, like her father's, are a darker brown-gray until they meet the head.
Aleu is the only one of her siblings that ended up with her father's wolf-like appearance. Boris said to Balto that Aleu looked even more like a wolf than he did, and because of this, Aleu became upset.
Personality
Just like she is more wolf-like in appearance than her brothers and sisters, Aleu also acts more like a wolf than them. She showed wolf-like characteristics from a young age - howling when she was bored. She could be sassy and rebellient against her babysitter, Boris, or her father, Balto. When faced with challenge, though, she proved to mature fast and quickly learned to become a responsible leader of Nava's wolf pack, probably helped by her strong wolfish instincts.
History
In Balto II: Wolf Quest
Aleu was born at the beginning of the second film. Her siblings all look like huskies, but Aleu took her father's wolf-like appearance. When the time comes, all of the pups are given away to good homes - except for Aleu.
After a close encounter with a hunter, Balto finally tells Aleu about her wolf heritage. Upset and angry, Aleu runs off. Balto gives her some time, but when Aleu fails to return home, Balto sets out to look for her.
Meanwile, Aleu finds shelter from the harsh sun in a cave. Hearing strange music coming from the back of the cave, she wanders through to find Muru, a field mouse. Muru explains to Aleu that she must find out who she really is by singing a song, and he also explains to her about spirit guides. Muru then disappears, so Aleu exits the cave. Suddenly, she is attacked by a grizzly bear. By this time, Balto has caught up to Aleu and together they escape by jumping off a ledge.
Balto and Aleu meet up with the wolf pack, lead by an ageing wolf called Nava. Nava tells the pack that their food source, the caribou, have moved on, and in order to survive, they pack must follow them. Nava says that they will be lead by "the one who is wolf, but does not know". A wolf called Niju believes that this is a foolish plan and tells the pack that they will all die, but when Aleu has a vision, Balto, Aleu and the pack begin to cross the water. Aleu stops Balto — she realizes that she has finally discovered who she is and that Nava was wrong: Aleu is "the one who is wolf, but does not know". Balto and Aleu say a teary goodbye to each other, and Aleu leads the pack away.
